These two Common Cranes Grus grus were photographed at c.4.56 p.m. on November 22, 2014 south of CR1181 northeast of Needmore, Bailet county, Texas. The first person to claim that there were two birds was Dodge Engleman, who - just moments after I took this first photo - remarked to me that he saw a second bird (the rightmost one) as we were focused on the leftmost individual. By chance a few of my digiscoped photos showed both cranes:
